Tips We Love
Writing Your Elevator Speech
Written by Diane Tasaka - May 30, 2012

Imagine your audience knows little about your organization and the issues you care about, but you need to convince them to take action.

•    Create an opening sentence that will grab the listener's attention and leave them wanting more information.
•    Use simple language so you can say it easily and be understood.
•    Make it vivid.  Use an example or memorable story.
•    Infuse it with your passion.
Namaste* and welcome to the HT Group website.

We believe that:

  • Your organization already has assets. We help you build on the assets you’ve got.
  • You deserve the highest level of support that can be delivered by senior level consultants – that’s us.  We won’t sell you our service then assign someone with less experience to provide it.
  • Our unique professional experience in both the non-profit and business sectors allows us to draw upon the best of both worlds.
  • It is better if we don't tell you what to do – but we do it together with you as a partner.

*Namaste is a common greeting in India. It is a combination of the two Sanskrit words: name (to bow) and te (you). When spoken to another person it is usually with hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointed upwards in front of the chest. Bow to you.
